1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what you are charged for, how a free trial works, how to cancel, and when we refund. It applies to every paid Buzzega™ plan. You must be 18 or over to buy a plan — see the Terms of Service.
Hosting on the Free plan costs nothing and needs no payment details, so nothing in this policy applies to it.
2. Your statutory right to cancel (14 days)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from the day you subscribe to cancel and receive a refund, without giving a reason.
Digital services are an exception where you asked for the service to start immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel. We do not ask you to waive it. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment we will refund it, less a proportionate amount for any period you have already used, and we will not argue that starting a game removed your right.
To cancel, email billing@buzzega.com or use the billing portal. You do not need a particular form of words — “I want to cancel and get a refund” is enough.
3. Free trials
Where a free trial is offered, we tell you its length before you start it and show it again on the checkout screen. A trial converts into a paid subscription automatically when it ends, and your card is charged then. Cancel before the last day of the trial and you are not charged at all.
One trial per account. If you have already used a trial, the checkout will say so rather than quietly charging you immediately.
4. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any price change affecting your renewal.
5. What happens when you cancel
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then returns to the Free plan.
Your games, questions and history are not deleted when you cancel. Limits that apply to the Free plan (such as the number of players per game) apply again from that point.
6. Refunds outside the 14 days
After the first 14 days we do not routinely refund part-used periods, because you keep access for the period you paid for. We will still refund where it is fair to, including:
- a charge you did not authorise;
- a duplicate charge;
- a failure on our side that stopped you using a paid feature for a meaningful part of the period;
- a plan bought by someone under 18 — see the Terms. We will cancel it and refund anything charged after the date we learn of it.
Ask at billing@buzzega.com and tell us what happened. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
7. Card details
Payments are handled by our payment providers. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of which plan you are on, when it renews, and an identifier issued by the payment provider.
