1. Reporting content that infringes your copyright
Hosts write their own questions and can upload their own material. If you believe something on Buzzega™ copies your work without permission, tell us and we will act.
Send a notice to copyright@buzzega.com including:
- a description of the work you say has been copied;
- where the copy is on Buzzega™ — a game PIN, game name, or the question text, so we can find it;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information is accurate, and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act for them;
- your signature (typing your full name is enough).
This is what United States law asks for in a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We use the same process wherever the complaint comes from.
2. What we do
We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and to make a first decision within 10. If we remove content we will tell the Host what was removed and why. Where a game is live at the time and the material is central to it, we may end that game.
3. If you are the Host and we got it wrong
Reply to us with why you believe the material was removed by mistake — for example that you wrote it, that it is licensed to you, or that using it is fair use or fair dealing. If we agree, we will restore it and tell you.
4. Repeat infringement
Accounts that repeatedly publish infringing material are suspended, and may be closed. We record what was removed and when, so “repeatedly” means something we can actually show rather than a judgement made from memory.
5. Notices sent in bad faith
Please do not use this process to remove content you simply dislike. A false takedown notice can carry legal consequences for the person who sends it, and it takes attention away from real ones. If your complaint is that content is harmful rather than infringing, report it in the game or email safety@buzzega.com — that reaches the moderation queue, which is the right route.
